Cats Take Lead on Day Two in Nashville

TUCSON - On day two of play, the University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team has taken a five-shot lead at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville, the three-round tournament is being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.

Over two days, Arizona holds a score of 584 (+8) with rounds of 298 and 286. The Cats were two-under as a team on Saturday. Texas sits in second place with a 589 (+13). Texas A&M and Virginia are tied for third place with scores of 595 (+19).

In her Wildcat debut, sophomore Kendall Prince continues to pace the Cats as the top individual performer. With a round of 70, Prince pulled into the lead of the individual race. She holds a one-stroke lead over Emilie Burger of Georgia with a combined score of 143 (-1).

Sophomore Manon Gidali and freshman Janie Jackson share a tie for fourth place. Both carded rounds of 74 on Friday and 71 on Saturday for a two-day total of 145 (+1).

Sophomore Andrea Vilarasau moved from tied to 54th to tied for 35th with a round of 74 on Saturday. After her 79 on Friday, she holds a two-day score of 153 (+9). Freshman Anna Kim rounds out the Arizona five in a tie for 57th place. She carded rounds of 77 and 81 for a total of 158 (+14).
