TUCSON, Ariz.--- Four-star recruit Andres Reyes has signed a National Letter of Intent to play tennis at the University of Arizona beginning with the 2016-17 academic year, head coach Tad Berkowitz announced on Friday.

The Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico native comes to Arizona as one of the most talented players in Mexico. He's been ranked within the top 10 in the country on numerous occasions, while he's been rated a four-star recruit by tennisrecruiting.net. The incoming freshman has also trained full-time at the prestigious Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai, Calif. for the last three years.

“The University of Arizona was always my top choice because of its beautiful campus and amazing coaches,” said Reyes. “I believe the program is strong and I can't wait to join the Wildcat family next year! Bear Down!”

Reyes is currently ranked 139th in the United States and 41st best prospect in California loaded with some of the best talent in the world.

Reyes will join an Arizona squad already balanced with young talent and veteran leadership, as the roster will sport four seniors, two juniors, and a sophomore once he's brought into the fold.

The Wildcats will begin their spring campaign on Jan. 15 vs. New Mexico in Lubbock, Texas.
