Tucson, Ariz. – The Arizona men and women's diving team will host the annual Wildcat Diving Invitational this weekend starting Fri. Nov. 20 and finishing on Sun. Nov. 22. The meet will begin at noon MST on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Sunday at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
The Wildcats will be competing against divers from NAU, BYU, New Mexico State, San Diego State and Idaho.
This season, Sally Hackett took first in the 1-meter (265.88) and 3-meter (290.10) against USC. Hackett also won both events in the meet against UNLV and WSU. Kaitlin Costello posted a second-place finish in the 3-meter against UCLA with 265.35 and took third place against USC with 248.25. Karolyn Loftus finished second versus UNLV and WSU in the 1-meter (234.30) and 3-meter (250.88).
For the men, Rafael Quintero took first against UNLV and WSU in the 1-meter with 388.73 and 3-meter with 395.48. Dominic Ricotta followed in both events with scores of 320.70 and 351.45, respectively.
