TUCSON, Ariz. – Following a solid fall season which saw him go 6-2 in singles play and 3-4 in doubles, sophomore Alejandro Reguant has been ranked 103rd in singles competition by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's preseason poll. This is the first time Reguant has received an ITA ranking. The last ranked Arizona player was Naoki Takeda, when he was tabbed No. 52 by the organization on Jan. 6, 2016.

"Its great to get one of our guys in the rankings," said head coach Clancy Shields. "Alejandro had a pretty serious injury last year and was out from March to August, so its impressive for him to come back and make a splash in the fall season. Alejandro is a worker, has a blue collar mentality, and is a fun kid to coach. Its not a surprise to see him in the rankings. Hopefully this motivates him to take action to be the best player he can become, and also to validate the hard work he has been putting in."
