TUCSON, AZ – Arizona Gymnastics
Coming Up:
This week the Arizona GymCats will compete in their third Pac-12 conference meet of the season. They will take on No. 15 California at home in McKale Center at 7 p.m. this upcoming Friday, February 10th. Entering the meet Arizona has a 5-3 (0-2 Pac-12) record and Cal holds a 4-1 (2-1 Pac-12) record. The meet will be televised on the Pac-12 Network and live stats will be available at athletics.arizona.edu/gymstats/20170210.htm. Join the GymCats in supporting breast cancer awareness and wear pink as Arizona Gymnastics hosts their annual "Pink Meet". 
 
Last Week:
On Saturday, February 4th the GymCats took on No. 14 (now ranked No. 11) Oregon State Beavers and lost 196.2-195.375. Arizona ended the meet with multiple new season and career highs. They also earned two new season team highs on vault with a 48.875 and on bars with a 49.275.

GymCat Strong:
Arizona prides themselves in training strong gymnasts who are both mentally and physically strong. Senior Krysten Howard embodies what it means to be "GymCat Strong". Howard has been competing in gymnastics since she was 6 years old, and in coming to Arizona she was recruited to be a specialist on bars. However, she now competes on three events (bars, beam, and floor) and holds strong records in all. Each day Krysten enters the gym with the mentality to make today better than yesterday. She has been nominated team captain for two years in a row and has helped lead the GymCats to success.
