TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 34 Arizona (14-3) won their ninth home match in a row as they defeated Drake (14-9) by a score of 4-0 on Friday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. Jonas Ziverts, No. 105 Filip Malbasic and Alejandro Reguant each picked up a singles win.
 
The day started off with the Wildcats taking the doubles point thanks to two wins by Ziverts/Igor Karpovets and Stewart Block/Jonas Maier on courts one and three. Arizona won 6-4 on court one and clinched the point with a 6-3 win on court three.
 
Reguant gave Arizona a 2-0 lead after winning his match 6-2, 6-2 on court four to give him his 12th singles win of the season, including his ninth in his last 10 matches.
 
Ziverts made it 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court one and Malbasic clinched the win for the Wildcats with a 6-2, 7-5 win on court two. Malbasic leads the team with 14 singles wins and has won his last three.
 
Karpovets, Carlos Hassey and Maier's matches all went unfinished as the match was clinched before a winner was decided.
 
Next up for Arizona will be No. 35 Arizona State on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. MST at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
