PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The Arizona women's golf team will look to continue its success this weekend at the ASU Invitational, this time as individuals.
Three Wildcats will be heading to Phoenix to compete at Papago Golf Course, which is hosting the ASU Invitational for the first time. The Wildcats are the defending champions of the tournament, shooting a collective 12-under-par last year, but will not be competing as a team to defend their title.
Freshman Ya Chun Chang is coming off a third-place finish at the El Tigre Invitational last week, her best career finish. She has also placed top-16 or better in each of her last three events. Junior Sandra Nordaas is also competing this weekend, and has yet to finish outside the top 40 since the first event of the year. Senior Desiree Hong makes her third consecutive start as an individual, the longest streak of her career.
The tournament begins on Friday, March 29th at 8 a.m. and concludes on Sunday, March 31st.
