SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Hope Hisey has garnered Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday. It marks the fourth time in Hisey's career that she has won the weekly award.
Hisey posted her 21st career shutout in the Wildcats' 1-0 win over Utah State, taking sole possession of second place in the Arizona record book. She totaled 10 saves between Arizona's two matches that included her third penalty kick save of the season. Hisey has faced three penalty kicks in her 2023 campaign and has saved all of them.
The Tucson, Ariz., native ranks third in the nation among DI active goalkeepers in career saves with 311. Her initial save against Utah State was her 307th, putting her at second in Arizona history in career saves.
