Klaus Ambrosch, Decathlon, Austria -
Ambrosch spent one season at Arizona, but it was a very productive one, as he won the NCAA title in the decathlon at the 1998 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. Ambrosch scored 7,825 points at the NCAA meet and was a favorite to win the 1999 title before he left school to train in his home country of Austria. At the Gotzis decathlon, one of the premier decathlon competitions in the world held June 3-4 in Germany, Ambrosch scored 8,113 points and qualified for the Olympics. Ambrosch was born May 23, 1973 in Knittenfeld, Austria. He attended high school at Gymnasium W. Neusledt and now resides in Graz, Austria.
