More Arizona Women’s Basketball Promotions for WNIT Semifinals

TUCSON, Ariz. – Excitement and crowd sizes continue to build as Arizona women's basketball makes its run in the WNIT. Arizona Athletics has a goal of 10,000 fans for Wednesday's WNIT semifinals home game vs. TCU. Today the Athletics Department announced another series of promotions and new gameday information.

To accommodate the larger crowd, McKale Center doors will now open at 90 minutes prior to tipoff (5 p.m.). In addition, more entrances will be open. Fans will now be permitted to enter through Gates A, B, C, D, and E. More concession stands will also be open. Free parking is available in campus surface lots (non-residential) starting at 5 p.m. Campus garages will charge $5 per vehicle. Parking on the UA mall is available for $8 prior to 4 p.m. and $5 after. Arizona and TCU will tip off at 6:30 p.m.

Once again a limited amount of free tickets will be available to UA students. UA students can claim these tickets by bringing their CatCard to the McKale Ticket Office during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). After receiving their ticket, UA students are encouraged to enter McKale through the ZonaZoo entrance located on the northwest side of the facility. The first 150 UA students will receive a free t-shirt and free pizza.

Head coach Adia Barnes is offering the opportunity to be an honorary coach for anyone who purchases over 100 tickets for Wednesday's game. This unique, behind scenes opportunity will be fulfilled during the 2019-20 women's basketball season.

Arizona's nationally-ranked softball team is also in action Wednesday. They play a doubleheader vs. UTEP at 2p.m. and 4 p.m. Fans attending the softball game can receive a special ticket offer when showing their softball ticket. This promotion is good at the Hillenbrand Stadium box office (when open for Wednesday's softball game) and the McKale Ticket Office.

The Athletics Department is continuing the military donation program. Fans who want to support women's basketball in the WNIT, but can't attend the game can purchase tickets that will be donated to local military personnel. To purchase tickets for military donation, click here. The deadline to participate in this program is Wednesday by noon.

As of Tuesday morning, over 5,700 tickets have already been purchased for Wednesday's WNIT semifinal game. Only general admission seats are available.
