Arizona Sweeps Utah with 10-3 Victory on Sunday

UA plated its 10 runs on 14 hits, one shy of its season-best. Half of the 14 hits went for extra bases. UA had a season-high five doubles to go along with home runs by Jessie Harper and Dejah Mulipola. Harper's homer, a two-run shot in the fourth, was her team-best 10th of the year while Mulipola's three-run blast in the sixth was her seventh.
Malia Martinez went 4-for-4 with two doubles, her second career four-hit game with multiple extra-base hits. She drove in a run and scored one of her own.
Alyssa Palomino extended her hitting streak to a career-long 11 games with a two-run, go-ahead double in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Taylor McQuillin earned her NCAA-best 16th win of the season. She went the distance and gave up three runs, one earned, on nine hits. The junior fanned seven and walked a pair.
Utah struck for a run on three hits in the first inning against McQuillin to take the early lead.
In the third, a two-out Wildcat error produced two Utah runs to put the Utes on top 3-0.
Arizona's offense broke through in a big way in the fourth.
Dejah Mulipola led off the inning with a single and Malia Martinez doubled her home to put the Cats on the board. A Joelle Krist RBI single brought the Cats within one. Hillary Edior singled to load the bases. On a 10-pitch at-bat that started with an 0-2 hole, Alyssa Palomino doubled home two to give theCats the lead. Reyna Carranco followed with a sacrifice fly before Jessie Harper put an exclamation mark on the inning with a two-run homer off the batter's eye in center.

Mulipola added a three-run homer in the sixth to give the Cats a 10-3 lead.
