
Arizona's Daniel Andrus Qualifies for Finals at USD All-College Tournament

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Arizona men's tennis finishes day two at the USD All-College Tournament Saturday with five victories. Freshman Daniel Andrus will play in Sunday's flight two singles championship.
Sophomore Colin O'Grady lost to Wayne Wong of California three sets, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2, during the flight one singles quarterfinal round.
In flight two singles quarterfinals freshman Daniel Andrus defeated Mirza Koristovic of San Diego in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Meanwhile red-shirt freshman Tim Mullane fell to Michael Frick of UC Santa Barbara in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Andrus went on to earn a victory by defeating USD's Frick in three sets, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3. Andrus will face Mike Wojnarowicz of Loyola Marymount in the finals of flight two Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
Carl Hagman and Colin O'Grady earned two more victories as a pair Saturday when they defeated Betyar and Davis of UC Riverside, 8-1 in the second-round, and Nagel and Molden of San Diego, 8-4 in the quarterfinals. Hagman and O'Grady are scheduled to play Sunday in the semifinal rounds. Also in second-round doubles action, Mullane and Andrus defeated LaFever and Coelho of San Diego State, 8-4. The pair went on to lose their quarterfinal match against Menke and Hossain of Oregon 8-2.
The Wildcats return to the courts Sunday at the USD All-College Tournament in San Diego, Calif.
