PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Arizona women's golf team dropped into a tie for 7th place after day two of the Stanford Intercollegiate, Saturday afternoon at the Stanford Golf Course.

After shooting even par on day one, the Cats struggled to a team total of 301 to slide into a 7th place tie with San Jose State. The Wildcats are also now 30 shots behind tournament leader Arizona State, which is 13-under par.

Sophomore Margarita Ramos had the low round of the day for the Cats, carding a 1-over par round of 72. She shares the team lead after 36 holes at 1-over par with sophomore Isabelle Boineau, who was 2-over on the day after shooting 1-under par on Friday.

Alejandra Llaneza is 6-over par after two rounds of play while Sherlyn Popelka is two shots behind her teammate. Brittany Benvenuto rounded out the team at 12-over par. Sophomore Nikki Koller continued to compete as an individual 9-over par.

Carlota Ciganda of Arizona State and Marina Alex of Vanderbilt share the individual lead at 5-under par while three other players are one shot off the pace.

Benvenuto will lead the Wildcats off the first tee on Sunday morning with a start time of 7:30 a.m.
