TUCSON – The University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team completed the first round of play at the Betsy Rawls Invitational on Monday. Hosted by the University of Texas, the three-round event is being held at the University of Texas Golf Club (par 72, 6,344 yards) in Austin. One round of play will be contested each day with a start time of 8:15 a.m. CT Tuesday and an 8:45 a.m. CT start time on Wednesday.

The Wildcats finished 14th with a score of 304 (+16) after day one. Florida leads the team race with a 285 (-3). Texas is in second place with an even-par 288 and Oklahoma State rounds out the top three with a two-over 290. Evan Jensen of Florida is leading the individual race with a round of 68 (-4).

Senior Isabelle Boineau was Arizona's top finisher in the first round. She carded a score of one-over 73 to share a four-way tie for 22nd place. Sophomore Haley Andreas and freshman Andrea Vilarasau sit in a seven-way tie for 43rd. They shot 76 (+4). Senior Margarita Ramos shot a 79 (+7) and sits in a six-way tie for 61st place. Junior Kyndall Ardoin rounded out the Arizona five in a six-way tie for 67th. She collected a round of 80 (+8).

Play at the Betsy Rawls Invitational will resume at 8:15 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
