Ramos Climbs Into Top-50 at NCAA Golf

TUCSON, Ariz. -University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf senior Margarita Ramos finished the second round of the NCAA Championships Wednesday with a 72 (E) for an eleven-way tie for 42nd place. Held Tuesday-Friday, May 22-25 and hosted by Vanderbilt University, the four-round event will take place at Legends Club North Course in Franklin, Tenn. The course is a par 72 over 6,451 yards.

Ramos, currently ranked at No. 85, teed off from the tenth hole with Rocio Sanchez Lobato of Georgia and Gabriella Dominguez of Texas Tech at 8:28 a.m. CT on Wednesday. Ramos recorded three birdies on the day and remains at a 4-over (148) after two rounds of competition.

In the team race, No. 2 Alabama remains in first place, posting a 285 (-3) in the second round for a total of 571 (-5). No. 1 UCLA, No. 6 North Carolina, and No. 27 Virginia sit in a three-way tie for second place with a total of 582 (+6) Alabama's Brooke Pancake, currently ranked at No. 10 on Golfstat, moved up from a tie for third place to take the individual lead with a two-round total of 138 (-6).
