2011-2012: Went 7-5 in the fall tournament season... Bounced between courts 2,3,4,5 and 6

2010-11: Mario Urquidi joined the Wildcats in the fall of 2010 as the only freshman. The El Paso, Texas quickly made his mark, having a successful fall season. He competed in three events and finished with a 5-6 record. His most notable win came at the NMSU Invitational where he clinched the Main Draw Singles title. Urquidi competed in 16 dual matches in singles action for the Wildcats where he compiled a 13-14 overall record and finished 8-8 in dual matches with a 1-4 Pac-10 record, primarily competing in the No. 6 slot. Urquidi competed in the Championships Singles Flight at the Pac-10 Championships, but fell to No. 2-seed Bradley Klahn of Stanford. He had a three-single's match winning streak that started against Sacramento State and ended against Indiana. In doubles action, he paired up with five different Wildcats: Andres Carrasco (0-1), Frank Chen (1-3), Borja Malo (0-1), Kieren Thompson (0-3) and Andre Vidaller (1-2). Urquidi teamed up with Frank Chen in the Championships Doubles Flight at the Pac-10 Championships. The duo fell to the No. 1-seed of Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher of Stanford.

High School: Attended Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas...Played under high school tennis coach Jerry Pippins...Personal tennis coach was Ross Walker...Won the Southwest Junior Tennis Championships in June.
