HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Dos Pueblos High School, Scarvelis was named the team captain for the 2009 season ... Also in 2009, his senior year, Scarvelis earned all-conference honors ... He holds the school record for the 300-meter hurdles ... He is also a member of the school-record setting 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams.
BEFORE ARIZONA: Scarvelis attended UC Davis from the fall of 2009 to the spring of 2011 ... He was a member of the track and field team there as well.
