On Thursday, strictly high school compeition occurs, beginnning at 3 p.m. MST. On Friday, the collegiate portion of the meet starts at 3 p.m. and the high school portion starts at 10 a.m. On Saturday, both college and high school will begin at 10 a.m.
2012: Indoors, Urreiztieta clocked a personal-best time of 8.37 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Boise State Team Challenge and the Lumberjack Invitational ... He finished in 10th place at the MPSF Championships in the preliminary portion of the event, clocking a time of 8.56 ... Outdoors, Urreiztieta posted a personal-best time of 14.62 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Pac-12 Championships, taking ninth place in the preliminary round ... At the UA-ASU-NAU Double Dual, he finished in third place with a time of 14.67.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Canyon Del Oro High School, Urreiztieta was a first team all-conference and all-region selection his senior year ... He was also first-team all-region and second-team all-city his junior year ... The Dorados were state championships runners-up in 2010 and 2011 ... Holds the school record in the 110-meter hurdles and was the 2011 state champion in the event ... Received the President's Award For Educational Excellence.
PERSONAL: He is the son of Izaro and Melissa Urreiztieta ... Has a brother, Gaizka ... He aspires to be a reconstructive plastic surgeon, so he can help people who have been in serious accidents.
