The University of Arizona men's and women's track and field program won three events on Saturday at the Willie Williams Classic.
2012: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor season.
2011: Taylor clocked a personal best in the 60-meter dash at the Lumberjack Invitational, running 6.89 ... At the MPSF Indoor Championships, he finished 10th with a 60-meter time of 6.94 ... He also set a personal-best time of 22.51 in the 200 meters at the MPSF Indoor Championships ... Outdoors, Taylor set both of his personal bests at the Jim Click Shootout ... In the 100-meter dash, he ran 10.44 and took second place, and in the 200-meter dash, he took third place with a time of 21.28 ... At NCAA West Preliminaries, he ran the 100 meters in 10.77 and the 200 meters in 22.58.
BEFORE ARIZONA: Taylor attended Southwestern Community College in Phoenix, Ariz. where his personal bests were 10.45 in the 100 meters and 21.61 in the 200 meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: A Mt. Miguel High School graduate, Taylor was the team captain and MVP his senior year ... He was a first team all-conference and all-city performer his junior and senior years ... Also a member of the Honor Roll at Mt. Miguel.
PERSONAL: Born Elliot S'Ven Taylor, he is the son of Mona Lawrence ... One of five children ... Majoring in sociology with a minor in communication.
