Maria Carrillo High School, Santa Rosa, Calif.: Earned varsity letters in cross country, track & field, soccer and basketball... Earned all-league and all-city honors during his senior season... Acknowledged for his academic success by the CIF during all four years of high school... Recorded a top mark of 15 feet in the pole vault, which was the 12th best vault in California that year... Ran a time of 38.82 seconds in the 300m hurdles, which was ranked eighth in the state... Clocked best times of 15.27 seconds in the 110m hurdles and 3:23 in the 4x400m relay, with a 50 second split...
