TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women's golf completed rounds one and two at the Windy City Collegiate Classic on Monday. Northwestern is hosting the event at Westmoreland Country Club (6,291 yards, par 72). The tournament will wrap with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
USC leads the team race with a 581 (+5). Northwestern is second with a 587 (+11). Oklahoma State rounds out the top three with a 589 (+13). Arizona sits in sixth place with a 594 (+18). The Wildcats shot rounds of 300 and 294. Emily Penttila of Tulane leads the individual race with a 137 (-7).
Senior Manon Gidali was Arizona's top finisher on Monday in a three-way tie for sixth place. She shot rounds of 71 and 73 for an even-par score of 144. Junior Lindsey Weaver finished day one in 25th place with a score of 149 (+5). She carded rounds of 76 and 73.
Freshman Krystal Quihuis finished in a five-way tie for 32nd place. She collected rounds of 78 and 73 for a score of 151 (+7). Sophomore Wanasa Zhou sits in a nine-way tie for 37th place with her score of 152 (+8). She played rounds of 77 and 75. Senior Kendall Prince rounds out the Arizona five in a three-way tie for 50th place. She scored a 154 (+10) with rounds of 76 and 78.
