TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women's golf completed round two at the Annika Intercollegiate on Monday. The 54-hole stroke play event is being held Sun.-Tues., Sept. 28-30, at Reunion Resort (par 72, 6,247 yards), in Orlando, Fla.
South Carolina took a one-stroke lead over Arizona with a round of 290 (+2). The Wildcats sit in second place after shooting a 293 (+5) on Monday. UA holds a two-round score of 573 (-3). Northwestern rounded out the top three, carding a day of 289 (+1) for a score of 575 (-1). Justine Dreher of South Carolina leads the individual field with a score of 136 (-8).
Senior Manon Gidali was Arizona's top finisher in third place after round two. She shot a 71 (-1) for a two-day score of 140 (-4). Junior Lindsey Weaver moved up to tied for 12th. She shot a 72 on Monday for an even score of 144 (E).
Sophomore Wanasa Zhou shot a 76 (+4) for a score of 144 (E). She sits in a 12-way tie for 12th with Weaver. Senior Kendall Prince sits in a six-way tie for 25th place. She carded a 75 (+3) on Monday for a total score of 146 (+2). Freshman Krystal Quihuis rounded out the Arizona five in a tie for 49th place. She holds a two-round score of 152 (+8) after shooting a 75 (+3) today.
