Cats Move Up to 9th Place in Stanford Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz.—The Arizona women's golf team is in ninth place after the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate. They have moved up two spots from Sunday's opening round. The Wildcats posted combined score of 291 Monday, which is 7-over par. The Cats have improved eight strokes from yesterday and sit at +22 for the tournament.
They are 22 strokes behind the leader Stanford. The Cardinal has posted a two-day score of 568, which is even par.
Sophomore Krystal Quihuis continues to lead the Cats. She is tied for 15th place after hitting a 1-under par 70 for the second round of the tournament. She has a combined score of 144 after both rounds and sits at +2 for the tournament. Quihuis hit a pair of birdies Monday on No. 2 and No. 15.
Next in the rankings is Senior Lindsey Weaver who is tied for 39th place. She shot a 2-over 73 for the second round. She has a combined score of 148 after both rounds. Weaver had a total of four birdies during round two. Junior Jessica Vasilic is tied for 47th place after also shooting a 73. Following is junior Wanasa Zhou, tied for 63rd place shooting a 78. Freshman Gigi Stoll is tied for 80th place. She shot a 75 in Monday's second round.
With tomorrow's final round, the Cats still have a chance to climb in the rankings. Krystal Quihuis will look to continue to perform well.
Tee off time for the Cats in Tuesday's final round will be 7:30 a.m. MST.
