TUCSON, Ariz.—The third-ranked Arizona women's golf team will head to Evanston, Ill. to play in the Windy City Collegiate Classic Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5-6. The event is hosted by Northwestern University and will be held at Westmoreland Country Club.

The Cats are coming off a successful season opener last weekend finishing second place in the Annika Intercollegiate Classic in Florida.

Those participating in this week's event include senior Lindsey Weaver, junior Wanasa Zhou, junior Jessica Vasilic, sophomore Krystal Quihuis, and freshman Gigi Stoll.

Stoll, from Tigard, Oregon, performed very well in her first college tournament as a Wildcat last weekend. In her debut, Stoll finished tied for 16th at 2-under. She had her best round on the final day of the tournament, shooting a 69.

Senior Lindsey Weaver will look to continue to be steady and lead the Cats. Weaver finished tied for ninth at 5-under last week in Florida.

At the Windy City Classic, the Cats will go up against Northwestern, USC, Purdue, Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Iowa State, Tulane, UC Davis, Minnesota, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma State. USC is ranked No. 1 in th elatest Golfweek Collegiate rankings. Alabama, not in this weekend's field, is No. 2, followed by No. 3 Arizona.

The girls will compete in 36 holes with a tee off time at 7:30 a.m. CT.
