
Cats Head to Hawaii for the Hawaii Pac-12 Preview

TUCSON, Ariz.—The Cats will head to the beautiful island of Kona, Hawaii to compete in their next fall tournament, the Hawaii Pac-12 Preview Monday and Tuesday Nov. 2-3. The tournament will take place at the Nanea Golf Club (par 73, 6,112 yards). This is the third year of the tournament, last year the Cats finished fourth with a combined score of 889 (+13).
Arizona'a lineup includes, sophomore Krystal Quihuis, freshman Gigi Stoll, junior Jessica Vasilic, junior Wanasa Zhou and first time freshman Danielle Lee. Natalia Forero will travel with the Cats as an individual.
The Arizona women's golf team will be competing against eight other Pac-12 schools as well as the University of Hawaii. The other Pac-12 schools joining the No.9 Cats are No. 13 Arizona State, Oregon State, No.6 UCLA, No.27 Colorado, No.15 Washington, No.23 California, No. 33 Oregon, and Washington State. Seven of the 10 teams participating are ranked in the Top 35 according to golfweek's week 28 rankings.
Arizona will look to improve upon their last performance at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Sophomore Krystal Quihuis lead the team that week finishing 219 (+6) and tying for 30th place. With a week off last week the Cats had time to prepare and focus before traveling to Hawaii.
The course consists of 54 in which the Cats will shoot 36 holes opening day and 18 to conclude the tournament.
Tee off times will be at 7:00 a.m on both Monday and Tuesday.
