Q: Who is your favorite gymnast?
A: My favorite gymnast is Allie Flores. She was a huge role model to me as a freshman at Arizona, and I hope I can steal the spotlight like she did when she competed.
Q: What is your favorite event and why?
A: My favorite event is bars. I used to be awful at bars when I was little, and it took me over a year to get a kip. I think that the hard work I've put in on this event has given me the best long-term reward.
Q: What made U of A stand out when you were being recruited?
A: The girls on the team were so fiery and enthusiastic when I visited Arizona. I really wanted a group of girls that would become my lifelong friends, and they have!
Q: What is fun and special about collegiate gymnastics?
A: The best thing about collegiate gymnastics for me is remembering how I used to view collegiate gymnastics and seeing where I am now. I always thought, “Wow, I want to be like them.” Now, it's crazy to think that somewhere, a little girl in a leotard is saying the same thing about me.
Q: What club did you used to compete with?
A: I used to compete with Gymcats Gymnastics in Henderson, Nevada… Once a Gymcat, always a Gymcat!
Q: Who is your celebrity crush?
A: My celebrity crush is Drake. I just love him...everything he does is cool.
Q: What's your dream job after college?
A: My dream job is to be an onsite photographer for National Geographic. It would be paradise to travel the world doing the thing that I love most.
Q: What's a random fact about you?
A: One random fact about me is that I'm obsessed with Star Wars. I used to have every character in action-figure form.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you want to go and why?
A: If I could travel anywhere, it would be to the South Pole in Antarctica. The South Pole is surrounded by flags from a bunch of countries--including the U.S.--that symbolize a treaty. All these countries share Antarctica. It would be like stepping into multiple places at once.
Q: If you could be any animal what would you be and why?
A: I would be a jaguar because they are the cats of the rainforest. The rainforest is always somewhere I'd want to visit.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of gymnastics?
A: I am an artist! I dance, paint, draw, and take photos.
Q: If you weren't doing gymnastics what sport would you want to play?
A: If I wasn't doing gymnastics, I would probably be an online gamer (is that a sport?).
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be?
A: If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation. I could go anywhere in the world whenever I want.
