Women?s Golf Pair Earns WGCA Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. Two members of the University of Arizona women's golf team, senior Kendall Prince and sophomore Wanasa Zhou, earned WGCA All-American Scholar honors, it was announced by the coaches' association earlier this week.

Zhou, winner of the NCAA Elite 89 award, was also named Pac-12 All-Academic First-Team with her cumulative GPA of 4.00 as an accounting major. In 2014-15, she competed in all 12 events and 37 rounds with three top-10 finishes and one top-20 finish.

Prince holds a cumulative GPA of 3.56 as a marketing major. She participated in graduation ceremonies in May and is working for Nike's internship program this summer. In 2014-15, she competed in all 12 events and 37 rounds with two top-20 finishes and a low round of 68.

In April, the Wildcats won their eighth Pac-12 Conference title (1992, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015) and their first since the 2010 season. UA went on to finish tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, advancing to the quarterfinals of stroke play.
