
Women?s Tennis Releases 2015 Fall Schedule

TUCSON, Ariz.--- The Arizona women's tennis team will compete in several strong events this fall in order to prepare for the spring season, head coach Vicky Maes announced on Wednesday.
“It feels great to be back in the swing of things,” Maes said. “We are all very anxious to get on the court and start working together. With four new quality players and two new great coaches added to our team, this is going to be a special year.”
“We are putting a lot of novel concepts into our program and I believe this will benefit us all tremendously both in the short and long-term,” added Maes. “I expect a lot from this group and I know they are up to the task.”
The team will host the Wildcat Invitational Tournament for a third consecutive year. The event takes place Oct. 2-4th at the El Conquistador Country Club in Oro Valley. This will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2015-16 Wildcats in action. Visiting teams include Tulane, New Mexico, Marquette, Utah State and Northern Arizona.
The Cats will then send qualified players to compete in the elite Riviera/ITA All- American Championship in Los Angeles, Calif. from Oct. 3-11th which precedes the ITA Southwest Regional tournament at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego (Oct. 15-19).
After two weeks of practice at home, the Cats will head back to California again for the Jack Kramer Invitational on Nov. 5-8th.
Finally, the team will round out the fall season at the San Diego State Tournament in San Diego, Calif. on Nov. 13-15th.
