Cats Travel to the Coast to Compete in Pepperdine Preseason Event

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Beach Volleyball team will travel to the coast this Saturday, Oct. 15, to compete against Pepperdine, USC and UCLA in a Pepperdine hosted preseason exhibition tournament.
This will be the Cats second preseason event after competing against Grand Canyon last weekend. UA will open play on Saturday against Pepperdine at 9 a.m. before taking on USC at (12 p.m.) and UCLA at (2 p.m.).
This will be a high level of competition for Arizona as the four teams make up half of the inaugural NCAA Tournament field from a year ago. USC finished 2016 as the first-ever NCAA National Champions, UCLA finished third, Pepperdine finished fifth and Arizona closed up the season finishing sixth.
The Wildcats return six players and introduce six newcomers Natalie Anselmo, Brooke Burling, Caroline Cordes, Olivia Hallaran, Jessica Manley, and former indoor player, Halli Amaro.
