Marker Withdraws from ITA Southwest Regional Championships

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Despite a hot start to the tournament, the Wildcats have been eliminated from the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, presented by Oracle, in San Diego. The last member of the team standing was Lauren Marker, but she was eliminated on Saturday.
Marker, the No. 1 seed in the singles bracket, was forced to forfeit the match due to injury. USC's Zoe Katz advanced and will play in the semifinals. Arizona is headed back to Tucson and will look to wrap up the semester on a positive note.
UP NEXT: The Cats have one more tournament in the fall season, as they will return to San Diego for the SDSU Fall Classic #2 from Nov. 11-13.
