  • The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday night in McKale Center where they have won their last ten games and 37 consecutive non-conference games. UA boasts an all-time record of 565-103 (.845) on their home court with a mark of 112-12 (.903) under head coach Sean Miller.
  • Arizona dropped a seven-point decision over the weekend to No. 8 Gonzaga in STAPLES Center. The Wildcats cut a one-time, 16-point deficit to as little as five points with less than two minutes remaining despite only having seven healthy scholarship players available. UA was powered by a combined 30 points and 15 rebounds by freshmen Rawle Alkins and Lauri Markkanen.
  • UA is led in scoring this season by the freshmen trio of Lauri Markkanen (17.8 ppg), Kobi Simmons (11.6 ppg) and Rawle Alkins (11.5 ppg). Those three freshmen make Arizona one of only two programs in the nation to have its top three scorers all be freshmen averaging at least ten points per game. The other school in this distinction is Auburn.
  • Wednesday will be another much-needed home game for Arizona in front of its dedicated fans. Since 2010, UA is 14-1 in home games immediately following a loss outside of Tucson.
  • These two programs last met on Nov. 19, 2014 in Tucson in what was just the second meeting in series history. The Wildcats won 71-54, and were led by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's 19 points off the bench. Hollis-Jefferson's performance included 11 of 13 shooting at the free throw line and a highlight reel one-handed dunk on 7-foot-6-inch Anteater center Mamadou Ndiaye.
  • Freshman forward Lauri Markkanen continues his offensive efficiency throughout the stat sheet. The Finland native enters the week as the only player in the Pac-12 to rank in the top 15 of the conference in scoring (4th – 17.8 ppg), three-point field goal percentage (10th – 42.9%) and free throw percentage (3rd – 88.6%).
  • UC Irvine redshirt freshman guard, Max Hazzard, is the brother of former UA walk-on Jacob Hazzard who played for the Wildcats from 2012 to 2016.
