Witt Twins Advance to Semifinals at Pac-12 BVB Championships

LOS ANGELES -- No. 6 Arizona's top pair and second-seeded Madison and McKenna Witt advanced to the semifinals of the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships after wins over Oregon (21-15, 21-15) and Washington (21-15, 21-15) on Thursday in Los Angeles, Calif. The Witts will face off against UCLA's McNamara twins Friday at 10 a.m. MST. The matches, plus the Pairs Bracket championship round at 11 a.m., will be televised by Pac-12 Network, Pac-12 Arizona and Pac-12 Los Angeles.
UA's No. 2 duo of Jianna Bonomi and Katarina Schulz opened with a win against the Stanford pair of Payton Chang and Hayley Hobson 18-21,21-16, 15-10). They fell to USC's No. 1 tandem of Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes in the second round (12-21, 7-21).
Team Bracket play will begin on Friday afternoon after the crowning of the Pairs Bracket champions. No. 3 Arizona will face No. 6 Stanford at 5 p.m. MST.
