Cats to Continue Road Contest in New Orleans

TUCSON, Ariz. – Seventh-ranked Arizona continues its road contest this weekend as they take on Spring Hill College, LSU and No. 8 Georgia State in New Orleans, Louisiana for the Tulane Pelican Classic. The Sand Cats hold a (10-3) record and hold the No. 7 spot in the AVCA Poll.
This will be The Cats first time this season heading to the south. UA experienced its third loss of the season in a close match last weekend against No. 1 Pepperdine, (2-3) in Malibu, California.
Arizona competes against Spring Hill College on Friday, April 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana at 11:40 a.m. MST. Spring Hill College holds a record of (7-11) as they just defeated New Orleans, (3-2), Jacksonville State University and Lincoln Memorial University, both, (4-1). This will be Spring Hill's first time facing a Pac-12 school this season.
The following days, the Sand Cats will continue their action in the Tulane Pelican Classic as they go on to face LSU and No. 8 Georgia State. UA will hit the sand against LSU on Saturday, April 9 at 10:20 a.m. MST. The Wildcats earned a victory against LSU at the Arizona Invitational, (4-1) in the 2014-15 season. The Tigers hold a record of, (9-4).
Later that day, the Arizona sand volleyball team will match up against No. 8 ranked Georgia State at 2:20 p.m. MST to close out their weekend of play. Georgia State holds a record of, (17-4), with losses against No. 1 Pepperdine and FAU, both, (1-4), and No. 2 USC and No. 10 FIU, both (2-3).
The Arizona sand volleyball team holds a record of (10-3) after defeating LMU and CSU Bakersfield in last weekend's Zuma Classic.
