
Three Wildcats Earn Pac-12 Academic Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona women's golf team had three players earn academic honors from the Pac-12 on Friday. Juniors Jessica Vasilic and Wanasa Zhou were named Pac-12 All-Academic first team, and senior Lindsey Weaver was named Pac-12 All-Academic second team.
This is Vasilic's first academic honor in her college career. She is a finance major with a 3.78 GPA. She competed in 10 events this season and averaged a 73.42 stroke average, with three top-10 finishes.
Zhou is an accounting major with a 3.96 GPA. Last season, she earned a Pac-12 All-Academic first-team honor in addition to winning the Elite-89 Award, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing in the NCAA Championships. Zhou competed in eight events this season, with two top-10 finishes and a stroke average of 74.25.
This is Weaver's second honor in the Pac-12 All-Academic second-team spot. She is a finance major with a 3.45 GPA. Weaver competed in 10 events this season and averaged 73.00 strokes per round, with four top-10 finishes.
