Four Student-Athletes Honored for Classroom Achievements

TUCSON, Ariz. – Football's Malcolm Holland and Finton Connolly, along with volleyball's Kendra Dahlke, and gymnastics' Danielle Spencer-Bearham have been named the student-athletes of the month for the second session of the summer semester. These students were chosen because of their commitment to earning their respective degrees, their ability to maximize their academic potential and their dedication to academic improvement and growth.

The students were chosen by members of the C.A.T.S. Academics staff.

Holland is a redshirt freshman from Chandler, AZ, majoring in economics. He lettered in football and baseball at Hamilton High School, where he helped his team win a state title in 2011. Holland was also drafted out of high school by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and walked onto the football team prior the 2015 season.

Dahlke, a sophomore, is an outside hitter from Bonsall, Calif., majoring in psychology. She led the Wildcats in kills, with a career high of 13, on the final game of the season against ASU last year, granting the Cats a four set win. She saw action in 76 sets in her first season. Already this year, Dahlke had two double-digit kill matches in Arizona's opening weekend at the Wahine Invitational, including posting 17 kills, a new career high, to lead Arizona against No. 2 Wisconsin.
