Arizona Gymnastics 2018 Schedule Released

TUCSON, ARIZ – The Arizona gymnastics schedule for the 2018 year has been released. Arizona is excited to announce five home meets and four Pac-12 televised meets this upcoming season. Non-televised meets will also be live streamed at the discretion of the home school. Arizona is also excited to announce they will be hosting the Pac-12 Championships in McKale Center on March 24.

"The program is excited about the 2018 schedule," said head coach John Court. "There are several conferences represented which gives our athletes a better athletic experience and also helps prepare them for postseason qualification. The home slate is fantastic for our fans and they will enjoy the level of gymnastics that will be coming to Tucson."

The GymCats will begin their 2018 season on January 6 at home with a quad meet against Denver, New Hampshire and Rutgers University. This kicks off an exciting home season where Arizona will compete against UCLA (Jan. 20), Utah (Jan. 26), Stanford (Feb. 11), and a second quad meet against UNC, Air Force and San Jose State (March 9). The team will celebrate their three seniors Madison Cindric, Victoria Ortiz, and Kennady Schneider in their senior night, which will be held on February 11 against Stanford.

The Wildcats will hit the road to face off against Iowa State (Jan. 12), California (Feb. 4), Oregon State (Feb. 17), Arizona State (Feb. 24), Arkansas (March 2) and LSU (March 17).

The GymCats have 11 returning athletes contributing 19 routines from last season's championship meets and are excited to introduce their four incoming freshmen, Payton Bellows, Sydney Freidin, Laura Leigh Horton and Adra Parks.

NCAA Regionals will be held on April 6 at college campuses in six cities: Tuscaloosa, Ala., Salt Lake City, Utah, Raleigh, N.C., State College, Pa., Columbus, Ohio and Minneapolis, Minn. The 2018 NCAA National Championship will be held at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo., on April 20-21.
