Haley Moore Named Second Team All-American

TUCSON, Ariz. – Sophomore Haley Moore has been named a Second Team All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, it was announced on Tuesday.
This is Moore's first career All-American honor after coming off of a stellar sophomore season in which Moore was ranked as one of the Top-10 individual players in the nation. Moore's All-American honor is the 57th such recognition in the storied Arizona women's golf program history.
In the 2016-17 season, Moore had a 71.40 scoring average in 30 stroke play rounds. She earned eight Top-10 finishes and finished her season with 22 rounds scoring at par or better. At the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans, Moore earned her first collegiate victory where she finished with a score of 210 (-6).
Moore continued to bring in the honors during her sophomore season including being name the February Pac-12 Player of the Month. Moore then was named the Arizona Athletics Female Sophomore of the Year at the CATSYS.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
