VALENCIA, Spain – In the first exhibition of Arizona's foreign tour in Spain, it was freshman
Brandon Randolph who led the Wildcats with 21 points and threw down a SportsCenter-worthy one-handed dunk in his team's 113-44 win over Combinado Valenciano. Randolph was supported by
Allonzo Trier's 17 points who also flushed a highlight dunk of his own on a fast break.
UA never trailed in the exhibition and held the opponent scoreless for nearly seven minutes in the first half to earn a 53-32 lead at intermission as Randolph scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the first half. Arizona's starting 7-footers,
Deandre Ayton and
Dusan Ristic, dominated the glass and grabbed a combined 23 rebounds.
Senior point guard
Parker Jackson-Cartwright was steady handed, leading his team with seven assists without recording a turnover. He was part of a team effort that posted 23 assists to 14 turnovers for the game.
Sunday's exhibition came on the team's third day of their Spanish excursion. The team will head to Barcelona for the remainder of their trip where they will play two more exhibitions.
