NORTH PLAINS, Ore. -- Former Arizona Wildcat Nate Lashley has earned his PGA tour card following the season's final Web.com tour event. Lashley, who played at UA from 2001 to 2005, won the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship this year on the Web.com while tallying four other top five finishes. He was also the 2016 PGA Tour Latinoamerica Player of the Year.
Lashley was a standout golfer for the Wildcats in the mid-2000's, earning All-America Honorable Mention honors in his senior season in addition to his selection to the 2005 Pac-10 All-Conference Second Team. The Nebraska native tallied 12 top-25 finishes in his collegiate career, which included seven in his senior season. He posted back-to-back second place finishes in the 2005 Pac-10 Championships and the NCAA West Regional.
The newest pro will continue Arizona's rich history of players on the PGA Tour, including Ricky Barnes, David Berganio, Jim Furyk, Ted Purdy and Rory Sabitini among many others.
