Tucson, Ariz. – John Court, head coach of Arizona Gymnastics, announced that the team will welcome five new GymCats for the 2020 season. This year's talented class includes Mackenzie Barile, Avery Stauffacher, Libby Orman, Zaza Brovedani, and Malia Hargrove.
"It's a great day to be a Wildcat and we are pleased to welcome these amazing young women and their families to our program. As a staff, we searched for athletes of high moral character, great students, and prospects with a high ceiling of athletic ability. That was accomplished with this class and we are confident they will help push our program to new heights in the future and thrive on campus as Wildcats"
Mackenzie Barile | Glendale, Ariz. | Desert Lights Gymnastics
Mackenzie Barile comes to Arizona after finishing in the top 10 in the all-around at the Region 1 Championships in 2017.

She also competed at the Region 1 Championships in 2016, where she placed sixth in the all-around. Barile was a competitor at the Junior Olympic Nationals in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2015, she was the Uneven Bars Champion at the Junior Olympic Nationals. She also helped her team to a Level 10 State Championship in 2015, where she placed third in the all-around and finished top 5 in uneven bars, beam, floor, and vault. Career highs; Vault 9.675, Uneven Bars 9.5, Balance Beam 9.575, Floor Exercise 9.65, All Around 37.95.

John Court. "She has a fun personality and is very unselfish. She will mature into a team leader during her tenure at Arizona"
Avery Stauffacher | Scottsdale, Ariz. | Gold Medal Gymnastics
Avery Stauffacher finished second on beam, third on vault and all-around, and fourth on uneven bars and floor at the 2018

Arizona State Championships. She also placed second on bars and fourth in the all-around at the 2017 State Championships and second on beam at the 2016 State Championships. Stauffacher competed in the 2017 and 2018 Regionals where she finished fourth on beam and uneven bars placed seventh in the all-around. Career highs; Vault 9.475, Uneven Bars 9.475, Balance Beam 9.625, Floor Exercise 9.525, All Around 37.675.
"Avery has an incredible work ethic and is extremely balanced," said head coach
John Court. "She has good skill sets on all events and is a natural beam worker. We are excited for her to join our program."
Libby Orman | Mound, Minn. | Classic Gymnastics
Libby Orman has competed in the Junior Olympic Nationals from 2016-18 and in the Level 10 Regionals in 2017 and 2018.

Orman helped her team to win three Minnesota State Championships in 2016-18. Career Highs; vault 9.45, Balance Beam 9.375, Floor Exercise 9.6.
"Libby is a very confident person which flows into her gymnastics," said head coach
John Court. "Her desire to attend Arizona was infectious and she will provide quality depth across 3 events."
Zaza Brovedani | Oakland, Calif. | Head Over Heels Athletic Arts
Zaza Brovedani was a champion for the All-Around NorCal State, Beam Region 1, and is a three-time Junior Olympic National

qualifier. Brovedani was also the Bars Region
1 and All-Around, Vault, and Beam NorCal State Champion in 2017. She helped her team win multiple State banners while training at Head Over Heels. Career Highs; Vault 9.7, Uneven Bars 9.775, Balance Beam 9.7, Floor Exercise 9.55, All Around 38.425.
"Zaza has been one of the strongest gymnasts in the region and nation the last two seasons," said head coach
John Court. "She leads by example in the gym and will make an immediate impact on our program."
Malia Hargrove | Sparks, Nev. | Flips Gymnastics
Malia Hargrove, who trains with Flips Gymnastics, is a three-time Junior Olympic National qualifier and was named her clubs

MVP. She recorded top 10 all-around
placements in all of her 2018 meets, was the 2018 Nevada state vault and All-Around champion and 2016 Region 1 vault champion. Career Highs; Vault 9.8, Uneven Bars 9.45, Balance Beam 9.575, Floor Exercise 9.65, All Around 37.835.
"Malia is a very dedicated student and gymnast," said head coach
John Court. "She has a high level of difficulty on all the events and wants to help excel the program to new heights"
