
Cats Host Arizona Invitational

The tenth ranked Arizona Beach Volleyball team is back in action at Bear Down Beach this Friday as the Cats host the two-day Arizona Invitational. Friday, March 2, Arizona will take on the New Mexico Lobos at 12 p.m. MST followed by the Washington Huskies at 6 p.m. MST.
The following day, March 3, the Wildcats will face the LMU Lions at 11 a.m. MST. There will be a total of six matches and four courts utilized -- one for exhibition matches. As the events come to a close Saturday, the Sand Cats will be giving away Sun Visors to the first 100 fans. Additionally, a post game serving clinic will be held.
The Wildcats hold a (3-0) record; UA swept the Cactus Classic to begin its season. The Arizona Invitational will be the second tournament of the season Arizona will host.
Bear Down Beach is located at Jimenez Field, home to the former practice football fields on the corner of Enke Dr. and Campbell Ave.
Admission to all home beach volleyball matches is free. Fans are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets.
