No. 12 Arizona Travels to Malibu for Pepperdine Tri-Match

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Coming off a successful 4-0 weekend at the Wildcat Spring Challenge, the 12th-ranked Arizona Wildcats head West to compete in the Pepperdine Tri-Match. Pepperdine will host a total of three teams, where Arizona will face No. 2 Pepperdine (18-3) and No. 5 Cal Poly (22-4).
The one-day event will be held Saturday, April 14 at Zuma Beach in Malibu, Calif.
UA enters their last away tournament of the season with a 16-8 overall record. Senior Olivia Macdonald and partner Natalie Anselmo stand as Arizona's No. 1 team with a 17-7 individual and pairs record. Freshman Jonny Baham enters this weekend's competition with the highest individual record (18-5) for the 2018 season.
To open up match play, No. 12 Arizona will face No. 2 Pepperdine at 9 a.m. MST followed by a 10:15 a.m. MST match against No. 5 Cal Poly before heading home. This will be the Wildcats' first matchup of the season against the Pepperdine Waves.
