Arizona Competes for the Title in Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship

The Arizona Beach Volleyball program heads to Palo Alto, Calif. to compete in the third-annual Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship. Hosted by the 13th-ranked Stanford Cardinal, the tournament begins Thursday, April 26 and concludes Saturday, April 28.
No. 1 UCLA, No. 5 USC, No. 12 California, No. 13 Stanford, No. 14 Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Utah, and Washington will participate in the Pac-12 team championship play.
All nine teams are seeded for the upcoming championship play. Arizona enters the competition as the No. 5 seed, with UCLA at No. 1 and USC following up as the No. 2 seed. 12th-ranked California plays as the No. 3 seed, Stanford as the No. 4 seed, and Washington as the sixth seed. Arizona State was tabbed the No. 7 seed in the team bracket, followed by the No. 8 seed Utah, and closes out with No. 9 Oregon.
Arizona heads into the tournament with a 19-10 overall record. The No. 1 pair of Natalie Anselmo and Olivia Macdonald lead the team with a 19-10 pairs record.
The Wildcats begin game play at 1:15 p.m. MST Thursday and will face host Stanford for the second time this season. The winner of the final round of both, the winners bracket and contenders bracket, will meet for the Championship round to be crowned 2018 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Champion on Friday, April 28.
The Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship will take place at the Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium in Stanford, Calif. Admission is free for fans and matches will broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network all three days of competition.
