
Berg and Cindric Head to Tuscaloosa for NCAA Regionals

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona gymnastics will send sophomore Christina Berg and senior Madison Cindric to the 2018 Tuscaloosa NCAA Regional on Saturday, April 7 at 4 p.m. Berg will compete on the uneven bars during rotation one and Cindric will compete in the all-around competition accompanying No. 7 Michigan.
"We are excited that Chrissy and Madison will be representing Arizona at the regional meet," said head coach John Court. "They have excelled in these events during the regular season, and we're looking forward to them having a competitive Regional meet in Alabama."
Berg is a sophomore from Tinley Park, Ill., and will be representing Arizona as a specialist on the uneven bars apparatus as she travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala. for the Regional competition. She has competed in 10 out of 11 regular season meets for the 2018 year and has scored a 9.800 or higher in nine of those competitions. She set her career high of 9.925 while on the road at Arkansas on March 2.
Cindric is a senior from Lantana, Texas and will be representing Arizona in the all-around competition at Tuscaloosa. She has competed in every meet this season and currently holds a career high of 9.875 on vault, 9.925 on bars, 9.950 on beam, 9.9875 on floor, and a 39.40 in the all-around. A captain for the Wildcats, Cindric has been a consistent competitor on all events. During regular season she earned a 9.850 or higher on the balance beam in 10 out of 11 meets, and posted a career high of 9.950 while at Arkansas on March 2, helping the Cats reach a new school record of 49.525 on beam.
