FORT WORTH, Texas – The Arizona Women's Tennis team opened up day 3 of the Big 5 Challenge on Saturday. It was highlighted by a huge win for
Emma Wilson, defeating Natalie Novotna the #32 player in the country.
Wilson defeated Natalie Novotna 6-2, 6-2.
Camila Wesbrooks came away with a victory against Nina Sorkin 7-5, 6-4.
Marie Van Aelst beat Shene Disbergen 6-2, 6-1. Stevie Kennedy defeated
Talya Zandberg 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (8). Chloe Hule walked away with the victory against
Csenge Furak 6-1, 6-7 (4), 1-0 (7). Kate Paulus defeated
Gitte Heynemans 6-1, 6-2. Annie Clark beat
Taylor Tamblyn 7-5, 6-0.
"We keep getting better every day. It's good to see that we are progressing daily," said head coach
Ryan Stotland. "We had some great wins today and for Emma to beat the number 32 player in the nation the way she did was quite impressive."
The Wildcats will wrap up the Big 5 Challenge tomorrow. Matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. MST.
