Hou Sisters Shine on Day Two of Stanford Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. -- The Arizona women's golf team climbed up the leaderboard on Saturday, shooting 3-under as a team to finish in a tie for third. The Wildcats head into the final round trailing Oregon by six strokes.
Freshman Vivian Hou delivered another sensational performance, tallying six birdies during her round of 67 (-4). Hou is tied for the lead with Arizona State's Linn Grant at 7-under. Hou's 11 birdies on the week currently leads the entire field.
Junior Yu-Sang Hou finished strong with four birdies on her closing nine and improved on her first-round score by five strokes. Her 2-under 69 boosted her into the top 20 after two rounds. Sophomore Ya Chun Chang mixed four birdies and four bogeys to shoot a second-round 71 (E).
Junior Hollie Muse and freshman Gile Bite Starkute both sit in a tie for 40th after rounds of 74 and 75 respectively. Arizona is tied with Arizona State for the most birdies in the field at 36 apiece.
"Super proud of the ladies and their fight today," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Vivian and Yu-Sang came up big for us with their under-par rounds. We are looking to go low tomorrow and bring home the victory."
The final round kicks off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Wildcats trail only Oregon and Arizona State, who they will be paired with on Sunday.
