TUCSON, Ariz. --Â The October edition of the ANNIKA Award Fall Watch list has been released, and two Wildcats are on the list.Â
Â
Freshman
Vivian Hou checks in at No. 13 on the watch list after an outstanding start to her Wildcat career. Vivian finished runner-up at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in her first ever collegiate tournament. She also placed second at the Stanford Intercollegiate, making that two runner-up finishes in her first three tournaments. Her great start earned her Pac-12 Golfer of the Month honors for the month of September.
Â
Junior
Yu-Sang Hou, older sister of Vivian, was also mentioned on the 'others to watch' portion of the list. Yu-Sang has participated in two events this year, and finished in the top ten both times. She shot par or better in all three rounds at the Windy City Collegiate to earn a tie for sixth. Yu-Sang shot 4-under on the final day of the Stanford Intercollegiate to finish in a tie for fifth at Stanford Golf Course.
Â
"I'm not surprised to see Yu-Sang and Vivian on the ANNIKA list," said head coach
Laura Ianello. "These two young ladies are immensely talented and prepping to play golf at the highest level for their future careers. Yu-Sang and Vivian are dedicated to getting better every day and are continually doing the right things. I am so honored to be able to coach them and watch them flourish."
Â
The Hou sisters compete next at the East Lake Cup on October 28th.
