TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona men's and women's cross country teams are back in action this Friday at the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational.
The women will compete in two 5k races at 10:00 a.m. MST and again at 11:30 a.m MST. The men's five mile race will take place at 10:45 a.m. MST.
"I am very excited about this opportunity for our teams to race at Notre Dame," said head cross country coach James Li, "They are going to be by far the best races our teams have seen this year. It will be a great experience for our runners."
Arizona last competed in the Dave Murray Invitational on September 13 where the Wildcats placed eight runners in the top 10 overall. Jennie Baragar-Petrash took first in the women's 5k followed by Bailey Johnson in third, Lauren Neugeboren in fourth, Alaina Kautz in fifth, and Keelah Barger in eighth. On the men's side, Shem Kemboi finished second, Turlan Morlan took fourth, and Connor McCabe placed seventh.
