TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona improved to 6-0 during its fall schedule with two more wins on Saturday at the Arizona Fall Invitational, defeating Cypress 14-4 in six innings before shutting out Eastern Arizona, 5-0, in the nightcap.
The Wildcats have won their first four games of the Arizona Fall Invitational; they close out the event on Sunday vs. Pima at 3 p.m. MST. A full schedule of the Arizona Fall Invitational can be found

Arizona 14, Cypress 4 (6 innings)
Arizona defeated Cypress 14-4, plating its 14 runs over the final four offensive half innings, including six in the fifth and four in the sixth to end it.
Arizona knocked 17 hits in the game, nine of which went for extra bases, including home runs from Sharlize Palacios (2),
Jessie Harper (1) and
Marissa Schuld (1).
Four different Wildcats batted in multiple runs in the contest;
Reyna Carranco, Harper and Palacios had three RBI apiece, while
Hanah Bowen drove home a pair.
Marissa Schuld picked up the win in the circle, allowing one unearned run on two hits over five innings with five strikeouts and no walks.
Vanessa Foreman allowed three runs on four hits in two thirds of an inning and
Alyssa Denham struck out the only batter she faced.
A
Jessie Harper RBI double and
Jenna Kean RBI walk got the Cats on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third.
The Cats doubled their lead in the fourth on a two-run double from
Hanah Bowen.
After surrendering an unearned run in the top of the fifth, the Cats struck for six in the bottom half. The Cats scored on home runs by Sharlize Palacios,
Marissa Schuld and
Jessie Harper and a two-run double by
Reyna Carranco.
After Cypress scored three in the top of the sixth, Arizona walked off with four runs in the bottom half. Palacios hit her second homer of the day, a two-run bomb, and then two runs scored on a
Reyna Carranco double to end the game.
Arizona 5, Eastern Arizona 0
Hanah Bowen and
Alyssa Denham threw a combined one-hit shutout and the Wildcats defeated Eastern Arizona, 5-0, on Friday evening at Hillenbrand Stadium.
Bowen allowed one hit over five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and no walks in the start.
Alyssa Denham finished off the game, fanning four over two hitless innings.
Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza and
Malia Martinez homered in the game; they both drove in two runs in the contest.
Malia Martinez batted in a run in the bottom of the first to get the Cats on the board.
In the third,
Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza (two-run) and
Malia Martinez (solo) hit back-to-back home runs to give the Wildcats a 4-0 lead after three innings.
Sharlize Palacios added to the lead with a single in the fifth.
