TUCSON, Ariz. -- Four Arizona pitchers --
Hanah Bowen,
Marissa Schuld,
Alyssa Denham and
Vanessa Foreman -- threw a combined no-hitter, while the offense plated 22 runs on 24 hits in Arizona's 22-0 victory over Chandler-Gilbert to open fall ball on Wednesday evening at Hillenbrand Stadium.
Bowen (2 innings, 4 strikeouts), Schuld (2 innings, 6 strikeouts), Denham (2 innings, 5 strikeouts) and Foreman (1 inning, 2 strikeouts), combined to face one batter over the minimum -- a first-inning walk -- and strikeout 17 of the 22 batters they faced in the game.
Offensively, the Wildcats scored in every inning, including an eight-spot in the sixth. Fourteen different players had hits in the game, including multi-hit efforts from Janelle Meono,
Reyna Carranco, Isabella Dayton,
Malia Martinez, Sharlize Palacios,
Ivy Davis and
Jenna Kean.
Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza hit Arizona's lone home run of the night, a solo shot in the fifth.

Jessie Harper led the Wildcats with four RBI, including a two-run triple in the second inning. Carranco (3), Dayton (2), Davis (2) and Kean (2) also had multiple RBI in the game.
Arizona's four freshmen, Meono (2-for-3), Alayna Hicks (1-for-2), Dayton (2-for-3) and Palacios (2-for-3), combined to go 7-for-11 (.636) in the game. Dayton (3) and Meono (2) combined to steal five bases in the game.
The Wildcats also welcomed back
Dejah Mulipola, who returned to Tucson on Wednesday after making the U.S. Olympic Roster for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this week.
